From Tree to Home - Clementine Furniture produces beautiful furniture using quality materials sourced from sustainable forests.

The Clementine Furniture Story

Clementine Furniture was born from a love of wood and a desire to create something truly lasting. Having spent much of my life renovating period homes, I built my own workshop in 2001 to craft a kitchen and furniture for our family home. When I couldn’t find the stools I had in mind, I decided to make them myself—embracing curves and angles that demanded an entirely new set of woodworking skills. I made more than I needed, listed the extras online, and to my surprise they sold instantly. From that moment, Clementine Furniture began to take shape.

Today, our small family business in Suffolk remains true to those beginnings. We use only solid hardwoods—mainly oak and walnut—sourced from our local sawmill in Sotterly. Every piece is crafted with traditional joinery techniques, guided by hand and refined with modern precision, ensuring strength, comfort, and beauty that will endure for generations. Even timber others might discard is given new life through our character range; knots and splits are filled with resin and finished smooth, transforming natural imperfections into striking features.

We use the finest quality timber from Sutton Timber, our local sawmill just a stone’s throw away. Choosing wood so close to our workshop not only supports local forestry but also keeps our environmental footprint small. Every piece of timber is treated with respect, with knots and natural character celebrated rather than discarded, ensuring that nothing is wasted. By working in this way, we create furniture that is as thoughtful in its making as it is timeless in its design

We take great satisfaction in the fact that every piece of furniture we offer is meticulously crafted by hand in our workshop located in Suffolk. Our unwavering commitment to quality is evident in every detail of our furniture. To ensure maximum durability, we combine traditional carpentry techniques with modern methods, resulting in furniture that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also built to last.
